John Deere will invest R$ 180 million in a technological development center in Brazil

In October, according to data from Ipea, the agribusiness trade balance showed a surplus of US$ 11.85 billion, a 3.3% decrease compared to the same month in 2022. Sector exports also slowed down by 3.5%. Nevertheless, in the year-to-date, the balance indicates a 6.2% increase compared to the same period the previous year.

It is this positive balance that once again results in foreign investments in the country, as seen in the announcement of investments by John Deere in Indaiatuba, São Paulo. The American company specializing in agricultural machinery and implements has chosen Brazil to invest R$ 180 million, aiming to build a Center for the Development of New Technologies, the first of its kind in a tropical country. This move is expected to expedite the launch of new products by up to 40%.

It is always encouraging to see such developments in our country, a major player in agriculture, which can accelerate the development of new technologies and local solutions. Studies focused on the unique tropical conditions faced by the country can provide even greater resilience to the logistics of the sector.

Centro incluirá escritórios para mais de 150 funcionários, laboratórios e oficina para montagem e testes em equipamentos agrícolas
